I was so tired the other day and just randomly flipped my Bible open, and came upon 2 Samuel Chapter 22. So I just read. And I came to this verse that just left me shocked and pleasantly surprised.
You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn. 2 Samuel 22:37
Last Sunday I prayed to God to just reveal himself to me. Everybody go through doubts in their life, even Christians themselves. I said, God, just give me one thing, just one thing to let me know you are here. And he gave me this verse. I love it when God surprises me like that or show me his glory through nature or the small things in life such as laughing over an innocent but very funny joke.
Naturally, when I came to this verse, I was having doubts. Was it really God? It couldn't be right, must be the devil who wanted me to trust God and then sprain my ankle again. But no, I accept it, I accept that the Bible is the truth and is what God is saying to me. I trust in it. And even though I don't know what it means, whether it implies I should go back to ballet and sometimes my ankles do hurt, I think this verse is meaningful all the same. Time heals, but God heals even more.
One year on, what has changed? Seed, seedling, shoot, plant, GROWTH.
